Scouts Assocation Centennial Dinner

Event-Pics were invited to the Scouts Association Centennial Dinner at the Hilton Warwick last week. We took a mix of formal and informal photos for the organisers and met a lot of very friendly people.

A Wedding Reception at Ettington Chase

Event-Pics were invited to Ettington Chase this month to photograph guests at the wedding reception of Gary and Lynsey. The hotel was full of family and friends and it was a great opportunity for us to get some fun images of the night.

Event Photography with Jack Nicholson

Event-Pics did an event shoot recently for Elite Travel Assocation at the Hilton Warwick. Jack Nicholson popped in to say hello (well, a very good lookalike of him). A great time was had by all.

Merino in Stratford-Upon-Avon

I did an editorial shoot at the designer store Merino in Stratford-Upon-Avon recently and met the wonderful Hannah and Abi. They are both very photogenic and were very happy to pose at the end of a hard days work.

Bowens Lighting Rules !

I have just taken delivery of a pair of Bowens (http://www.bowens.co.uk/) Esprit 500DX studio lights (monoblocs) for my event photography work (http://www.event-pics.co.uk/). We have been renting 2 pairs of lights for every event, which whilst not too expensive for each event, over time the costs soon mount up as we have got busier and busier. It made much more sense for us to invest in lighting now, and we went for the Bowens without any hesitation and purchased 2 pairs.
The Bowens are built like tanks with loads of features but very easy to use. I spent 30mins today playing with them and produced the images below. Not bad for a quick play.

A Day at the Races

Warwick Racecourse in the UK is celebrating its 300 years of existence this year, and I was asked to attend a race day recently to shoot some images for 'Totally Warwick' society magazine. I had a great time with lots of photo ops and met loads of people. It was my first time at any racecourse and I'm looking forward to my next race event already.
